ZMBV codec broken after updating to 2.1.1 (works in 2.0.8)

32bits or 64bits?

32bit version running WindowsXP

libavcodec's zmbv decoder used to do (slow) internal colourspace conversion, this was fixed in March. The decoder may now output AV_PIX_FMT_PAL8, AV_PIX_FMT_RGB555LE, AV_PIX_FMT_RGB565LE, AV_PIX_FMT_RGB24 or AV_PIX_FMT_BGR0 depending on the input file.

This is still an issue with VLC 2.1.4. I am experiencing this problem with the x64 version in Windows 7. This can be reproduced by capturing a video from the DOSBox application. In VLC 2.1.4, video is blank but audio can be heard.

Works fine on Linux with 2.1.4 and 2.2.0

This works for me on Windows XP with 2.1.5.

I updated to the x64 version of VLC 2.1.5 today running on 64-bit Windows 7 and I'm still getting the same problem.

Also tested with the 32-bit version of VLC 2.1.5 on 64-bit Windows 7 and it also shows blank video, but plays the sound fine.

Sorry, there is only one sample, and it works fine on 2.1.5 (Windows and Linux). So either there is a new sample, then please share it, or we close this.

I believe that fate contains some zmbv samples, did you test any of them?

Correctly fixed in 3.0.0. Backported to 2.2.5

Looking at the 2.2 branch, I don't think this was completely fixed, feel free to test zmbv_32bit.avi from fate.
