CDG ZIP Support not recognizing the Mp3+CDG pair.

Because MP3+G is stored in pairs, the pairs are often stored inside of a zip file. People have been doing this for years in order to keep the .mp3 file and the .cdg file together... So inside of the zip file you will find two identically named files - just like you would with a normal mp3+G but it's zipped.

VLC will open the zip file, but will play the mp3 first. Then it will play the cdg file. It does NOT play them together and this is a bug. It should check the zip file if it contains any files with the exact name and should play them together - not separately.

While this is classed as an enhancement it does cause what might be considered a bug. If you "Open Directory" where there are several mp3 + cdg pairs, VLC will create a playlist as follows:

File1.cdg File1.mp3 File2.cdg File2.mp3 File3.cdg File3.mp3

VLC then (assuming sequential play):

• displays 2 windows (1 full-size, 1 tiny) as it plays File1.cdg, with identical CDG content in each.
• correctly displays 1 CDG window (full-size) as it plays File1.mp3.
• again displays 2 windows to play File2.cdg.
• correctly displays 1 CDG window (full-size) as it plays File2.mp3.

In other words it is almost impossible to initiate a quick and simple playlist of MP3 + CDG files.

I would report this is a separate bug, but if the zip support in this enhancement were implemented, it might presumably solve the playlist problem as well.
