windows command line version number response
Invoking VLC from the Windows command line with the version option:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --version
dumps the result to a file named vlc-help.txt instead of posting the result to the shell. Can this behavior be changed to act more like other Windows programs and the Mac OS and Linux versions of VLC? I need to be able to programatically get the VLC version number as the result of a shell command.
