VLC 2.1 Nighties, Volume Control Not responding, last working 2012-05-16
Right now VLC's Volume control isn't working at all (latest Build).... :(
mouse-over the visual interface control lower right corner typically... unresponsive going up or down the volume spectrum... ie no real change in volume... :(
No response from Scroll-wheel on mouse, either.
Keyboard shortcuts, Crtl+UP/Down, no response in normal or Full Screen
My System Specs:
WinXP Pro 32bit,
4GB Ram(800Mhz DDR2)(3GB usable)
Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 512MB
Nvidia Drivers, v296.10
Asus P5NSLI v2, BIOS r1801)
Just grabbed the latest Nightly VLC Media Player Build (32bit), VLC 2.1.0-git-20120521-0037 Rincewind
VLC's Volume control is still non-functional....
I believe the last version I used before the 05-17-2012 build that worked in regards to this volume control issue was vlc-2.1.0-git-20120514-2228-win32

NO....! the volume isn't changing AT ALL [NO up], [NO down], I set it to near zero for one audio/vid, and another to a half volume to get the best of both. as one example when it was working during and before build, vlc-2.1.0-git-20120516-0006-win32 .....
I set a audio/vid to 0% Audio to test volume control, ITs still playing at 100% ie the Visual controls for audio might be moving.... but the actual volume isn't responding at all from 0% to 100% and beyond.... >_<
some of what I listen too is recorded so low boosting it up higher helps quite a bit.
this "Volume attenuation" isn't working right as I stated/explained repeatedly
This matter is not closed! I took the Time and Effort to try and track this down and report a bug when I found one....
removed Status::will not fix label

Also the mute button visually (GUI), move clicking the mute button does nothing (no change to volume, but the icon for the mute (little red circle with a white X in it appears) so the GUI is functional but the actual audio volume remains unchanged...
I confirmed that the audio drop down menu at the top, (Increase volume, decrease volume, mute) does change the volume GUI Visual(s) but no actual change to the audio level...

In this Nightly build the Volume Control (actual volume levels) is still non functional.
can't raise, Lower, or Mute the volume...
GUI for continues to function normally.
Just tested build: vlc-2.1.0-git-20120529-0003 still no go.. of course all the recent changes were for MacOS....

Tested Latest Build vlc-2.1.0-git-20120530-0004-win32 Still not working.... but the change logs didn't show anything that would seem to be related to this issue... (make me wonder if I should wait to give feed back on a recient build to see if it actually contains an update that would fix this issue?)
