Fullscreen on secondary screen displays a few frames and then stops
As noted in issue #35, world domination is impossible at least while fullscreen feature doesn't work.
This issue may or may not be the same as in issue #5350 (closed) (freezing when going fullscreen on secondary monitor; the debug log seems different though).
It may be related to issue #4659 (Fullscreen rectangle have wrong dimensions on secondary display; that seems to be a aspect ratio problem but it is interesting that there is a resize command with odd numbers similar to the current issue).
Using version 1.0.5 the issue is not there. Since that is the only version I can use, and the issue is not a clear duplicate for me, I thought it is time to do a bug report.
System : Windows XP sp3, dual core processor. AMD Radeon HD video card. VLC version that has the bug: v. 2.0.1 (I resetted the preferences). Component guess: interface
When I try to put video on fullscreen on secondary screen the video displays a few frames on fullscreen and then stops. This doesn't happen if I leave the always resize to window option unticked (but then I only have video small and centered, with black borders).
The debug log:
qt4 debug: Qt: Entering Fullscreen qt4 debug: Qt4: Fullscreen state changed qt4 debug: Qt4: Fullscreen state changed main debug: VoutDisplayEvent 'resize' 622x586 fullscreen main debug: VoutDisplayEvent 'resize' 1440x900 fullscreen main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 54 ms) main debug: picture might be displayed late (missing 14 ms) main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 69 ms) main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 29 ms) main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 140 ms) main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 100 ms)
Note that I don't know what 622x586 is. The video size is 614x456 and the screen size is 1440x900.
