Equalizer Gain Controls' dB Values Change Format by Clicking
This is a cosmetic bug. The tested version was VLC 2.0.0-rc1-20120131-0203 Twoflower.
Repeatable:
- Close all VLC instances;
- Open a new VLC instance;
- Open the equalizer;
- The expected values for dB controls' gains are in the format '00.0dB';
- Enable equalizer (if not) and touch any gain control for up or down;
- The expected behaviour is all the cited values change for the format '0.0dB'
Probably a discrepancy in string format for different functions.
JB,
by the way, is this version (2.0) supposed to save equalizer's configs between sessions? Because the 'enabling' function is being saved correctly, but the gain config aren't.
Suggestion: I know this pre-launch moment is stressful but, in time, may we discuss an equalizer enhancement? I was wondering about equalizer and the choosen frequencies in the scales: why that specific frequencies (somehow different from another players' equalizers and hardware equalizers)? And why 10 scales and not e.g., 20 scales? I'm thinking in something like a dialog 'extensor' to convert the equalizer to a professional-mode one (with at least 20 scales and the common used frequencies in professional hardware equalizers). Eventualy, I can present a patch for it, if you give me some guideness.
