MKV files: Increasing buffer size in "acces module > file" results in audio silence for the same time as the buffer.
I always set my buffer in "preferences > input/codecs > access module > file" like 5000 ms.
The problem occurs with only MKV files on all versions of VLC (also latest nightly builds)
When seeking, the video starts playing instantly, but the audio doesn't play for 5 seconds (the same amount of time as the buffer). AVI files don't have that problem.
So this means: set the buffer size to 2 mins, play the file, seek further in the file, video has no problems, but audio is mute for 2 minutes.
If you start playing the file from the beginning, the problem doesn't occur, ONLY while seeking.
Tested on
VLC 1.1.10, 1.1.11, 1.2.0 beta
Operating systems: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows XP
