Unicode support issues in playlist display
While I wouldn't necessarily expect VLC to support every Unicode character in existence, it should at least handle basic "extended" punctuation like bullets. I'm not sure why VLC is using some internal font with weak Unicode support, instead of depending on the system's own fonts (which in modern OSes are pretty Unicode-savvy).
See screenshot attached. The filename is just fine in Windows Explorer, but is mangled in VLC's playlist.
VLC 3.0.8 Vetinari Windows 8.1 x64, English version
PS: This may or may not relate to the other two Trac reports that come up for a "~Unicode" search. One dates back to Windows XP, and the other is Android-specific, so this doesn't seem like the same issue to me, though similar.
PPS: The wiki page about filing bug reports needs an update; says that 3.0.7 is the current VLC version. And the 3rd-party login methods for the wiki, like Google account and Yahoo account, don't work. Dunno where to file bug reports about the wiki.
