VLC 3.0.2 X64 - YUV 4:4:4 color problem

I've tried playing various clips created by recording the YUV test. (attached below)

It seems that the 4:4:4 color format isn't recognized correctly with the "automatic" video output module.

It works again, however, changing the module to OpenGL.

Is this a bug?

OS: Win7 Pro x64

Ok, I played the clip both with "automatic" and "OpenGl for win" and created the log (I've edited out some user info).

Also, I'm going to reupload the zip, because it seems corrupted.

Mm.. the zip always becomes corrupted after the upload. I'll try adding the files directly.

What happens when you play it?

With the "automatic" output, I can see the 4:2:2 checkmark instead of the 4:4:4, meaning there's some problem. Also, the colors become pixelated.

If I disable "Use hardware YUV->RGB conversion" (why?), 4:4:4 works, but then I can see the "Wrong Decoding Matrix.." - "Bt.601 matrix over Bt.709 source" checkmark.

If I switch to OpenGl, instead, 4:4:4 works again. (except for 444 + 601 clips, which show the warning: "Bt.709 matrix over Bt.601 source")

Fixed in D3D11 with http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git;a=commit;h=f6a25bd66d88eaad77e90e16de08f1fc8f9aec72

But on Win7 the default vout would be D3D9 and there's no fix possible there. You'll have to select D3D11 or openGL manually.
