No media files found
After vlc was upgraded to vlc 3.0.1, I am getting a "No media files found, ..." message in the Audio (and Video) tab. I have about 12k, mostly, ogg files in my media folder. The first thing I did was checking the media library setting setting, tried default, and only selecting sub-sub folders of my sd card (listed as a uuid). I tried both the refresh and the pull down in the main screen to initiate a scan. Also tried the scan on start setting which made no difference. Tried force quiet, reinstall, reboot phone, cleared cache (losing my dark theme setting but no diff with respect to defect), then I tried installing the current nightly.
Model number: sm-g950u1
android version: 7.0
vlc version: 3.0.1 and nighly 3.0.3 (a1956893d)
log file: I enabled debug logging, then went back to the audio tab, pulled down to refresh, then I navigated back to debug log screen and all the controls are grayed out. I searched for vlc and .log and it did not find anything, I looked at root of both internal and sd card and did not see a log file. Might be a user error on my part. Please advise.
whether the issue occurs only on one media (video or music): video, audio but directory works, also I am able to create a play list that seem to contain my whole catalog. It is rather slow so the only real work around is using the directory tab.
Let me know what else I can do to help.
