VLC 3.0.0 - Navigation with the Mouse on the time axis has shorter jumps as VLC Version 2.2.x

Hello,

in VLC Version 3.0.0 is the navigation with the Mouse on the time axis (jumping forward or rewind) much shorter as in Version 2.2.x.

Are there any possibilities to change the step size for jumping on the time axis?

And a Suggestion / Request: Please have this "seek via mouse scrolling" feature's speed be configurable (including the option to choose between an even step scroll size and an "acceleration multiplier" thing)

The jump size of a mouse wheel scroll over time slider used to be like 1% of the length/duration of a playing media and everybody was happy :-) Now it is like 0.1%. It is not configurable, is it?

I have this problem too.

I thought it was a fixed value in v2.x, however (I set 10 secs in the hotkeys sections).

I've never known how to use the different jump lengths, though..

reverting it solves the issue

There could be an option for this. In 2 minutes short video clips the scrolling with higher precision is like frame by frame forward and backward in paused playback. And it is interesting. But it is not good for quick preview of a media.

Probably this fix has reversed a direction of jumps in VLC 3.0.2. Mouse scrolling up over time slder should jump forward like before. The scrolling up can increase the volume and so the scrolling up could "increase the time" instead of scrolling down. A new ticket?

Indeed! This is fixed in 11bd3483a06de831a9127fd813db5728a178632a, which we'll need to backport I think
