Chromecast playback fails after a few seconds
On numerous builds through 3.0.0-20170831 when I selected my Chromecast device under Video > Renderer, the video would not change to the TV - it would continue playing in VLC.
I didn't try again for a while until 3.0.0-20170921, with this build Chromecast playback begins on the TV as expected and then stops after only a few seconds of video.
The playback progress bar then starts shrinking backwards as the play time increases but the current time stays the same.
I have tried again through the 3.0.0-20170925 build with the same result, after a few seconds the video stops.
If I then try to close VLC I get a Runtime Error, this crash is reproducable every time I start the output to my Chromecast and it freezes.

I have attached a debug log, during playback I start the stream and after about 10 seconds I switched it to the Chromecast, within 3 seconds the picture had frozen on the TV. I let it play for another 60 seconds or so, and then attempted to close VLC producing the crash above.
I am more than willing to test and provide further details as needed.
Note: I found ticket #17482 (closed) with the same description, but with a resolved status so I don't know if this has come back or is a different problem.
Thanks.
