Add Delete file / Earase file / Move file to trashbin option to VLC controls

Another feature which has been requested many times is to not have to go into any file browser or command line or whatever to delete a file which is playing or which is selected in VLC.

Notice these are two different things, I suggest adding both:

• left-click a playlist item, "delete file"
• add a delete button to the controls / tools. When clicked, delete the file currently being played.

Obviously followed by the dialog "Are you sure you you wish to delete the actual file?"

• Yes, move the file to the trash-bin
• Yes, delete the file permanently
• No

When the user chooses to continue and delete a file which is currently playing, VLC will stop playing the file, remove it from the track-list, and than delete the file. If a playlist was playing, VLC will continue to the next track.

Hold on, I would like to replace ticket #6255 with this one, as this one specifically adds a description of the ability to left click playlist items and delete them in that manner as well. I think this ticket is better defined.

But my apologies, I looked for potential duplicates but hadn't found that one.

Yes, but usually, we prefer to keep the original ticket, because it's older so there are probably more people following it.
