Volume resets to a set value when track changes
Using Arch Linux (4.3.3-2-ARCH) and VLC media player 3.0.0-git Vetinari (revision 2.2.0-git-11271-g913fc6cb). Running on an older Dell laptop, an Inspiron N5050. lshw says my audio device is an Intel 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller.
Here's a log of what's going on. I ran VLC and reproduced the issue three times during this session: http://pastebin.com/cXX98vPw
The exact steps to reproduce the problem follow:
- Open any playlist containing media.
- Change volume to taste.
- Go to the next track. Upon doing so, volume will readjust itself - in my case, it changes itself to 100% (which is somewhat jarring).
This occurs reliably on every track change, and although I've only tested it with mp3 files and a .pls stream from the BBC world service, as far as I gather it happens universally between filetypes.
