Subtitle drag&drop from firefox download manager doesn't work

When doing drag&drop with subtitles from firefox download manager, vlc tries to play file like its video file.

Yes, I did send a patch shortly after (like 1 day if I recall correctly) this ticket was created which, as januszmk stated, was rejected. See the below two patch-batches.

The latter is an update of the former, but both should make it very clear what the underlying problem is.
