VLC does not scale video correctly when in full screen mode
This is on Mageia Linux x86-64 Cauldron taken from:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16876
I can reproduce it with latest vlc-2.2.x git master .
============
Description of problem: When VLC first launches, the window is not full screen. The video starts to play but is slightly smaller than the available window. If the window is then made full screen the video playback remains the original size, in the top left corner of a now black window, approx 1/4 of screen. To correctly scale the video to full screen the video track must first be disabled via the VLC menu "video" and then re-enabled. If VLC is minimised before exiting and then VLC is restarted, this causes the issue to recur. If VLC is in fullscreen or maximised when closed there is no problem. If system is rebooted , the issue recurs
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):vlc 2.2.1-8.mga6 (tainted)
How reproducible:every time the system is booted
Steps to Reproduce: 1.install VLC (tainted) and update system to latest. 2.open a video file and observe black edges to mvideo in small screen. 3.choose full screen or maximise screen. 4.disable video track and then re-enable the video track. 5 observe the change in video scale
