Saving video in half speed causes audio problems in output file
How to recreate: *Find a short 1080p60 video with sound. *Open advanced controllers, including the red record button *Start playing the video, and reduce framerate to 0.5 by pushing "-" key *Push the record button, let it record a while, then push it again to stop. *Close VLC, and open it again with the newly recorded file. *When this new file is played the video is half framerate wich is correct *But the audio of the new file is very wrong.
The bug:
- When video is played at different speed, the audio is resampled/repitched so it works.
- When video is recorded at different speed, the audio looks like it is not resampled/repitched. This creates a mismatch between the audio and video in the output file.
Severity of bug: There exist no other easy option for creating quick slow motion videos with sound from a 60fps recording today. I would guess that quite many more than me would find it very useful to be able to do this in vlc. I use this feature to slow down dance recordings, so it is possible to have a separate slow motion recording for analyzing and learning movements.
