teletext subtitles not hiding in time
I am in Western Australia When replaying recorded TV programs using VLC (2.1.5)the subtitles (closed captions) do not replay correctly as they did when viewing the original program on TV. The subtitles will not disappear from the screen till another line of dialogue is spoken (can sometimes be minutes of time) Also if two characters are speaking one after another then the first line spoken by first character will stay till first character speaks again. I am using windows XP on both my laptop and my PC and the same thing is happening on both machines I can record programs on both my TV (AWA LCD) and my set top box (TEAC HDB 850) The subtitles from recorded programs from my set top box replay perfectly when replayed through the set top box but are faulty as above when replayed on VLC. Here in Australia we have a lot of free view channels and the problem does not happen with recorded programs from all of these channels (some replay subtitles OK in VLC)but even then mostly the subtitles still do not disappear till next dialogue is spoken The sample I can send is from channel ABC2 I realy hope you can help with this problem as I was very happy when I set up my laptop to play VLC on my TV and everything was fantastic till I discovered this problem Thanks Rob
