Streaming, Converting wizards: Burning/hardcoding subtitles into the video

I am not sure whether it is a bug report or a feature request. https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=121738#p410302 It is possible to use the Stream... wizard, to "[v] Activate Transcoding", to [select]/[create]/[edit] appropriate transcoding profile with ticked "[v] Subtitles" and "[v] Overlay subtitles on the video", to edit the "Generated stream output string" and delete the "scodec=" option in the chain. It is not possible to use Convert/Save... wizard for this purpose at all.

Perhaps the "Overlay subtitles" for the standalone "soverlay" option could be included in the drop-down menu in the Subtitles tab as a default option there.

Further investigation of the issue: VLC-2.0.x: When editing one of predefined transcoding profiles, the drop-down menu item is empty by default in Subtitles tab. If creating a new profile, there is already the "DVB subtitle" item in the drop-down menu by default. Then there is "T.140" and no empty option to choose from! VLC-2.1+: No more default empty item in drop-down menu in Subtitles tab even in a predefined transcoding profile.

Silently fixed in VLC 3.0.4+: the ticked "Overlay subtitles on the video" checkbox disables the "Codec" drop-down list in a transcoding profile.\ Now only the Converting wizard uses the default "sout-all" confusing thing (https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=147589). This has been fixed in the Streaming wizard in VLC 3 and it contains the "[ ] Stream all elementary streams" checkbox in the last step there.\ Possible duplicate: #16785
