Cannot isolate left/right speaker audio on VCDs
Your operating system and the version: Linux Mint 17 MATE (Ubuntu Trusty variant)
Your VLC media player version: 3.0.0 Vetinari
The hardware you use:
Processor is Intel Pentium 4, 2.8GHz RAM is 2GB Audio and video are in the Intel chipset
Can you always reproduce the problem in a certain way?
- load VLC with Infernal Affairs VCD with Mandarin and Cantonese audio
- wait until the title where the movie starts
- right click on menu
- go from audio all the way to stereo menu
- click on either left or right speaker
Then as you can see, I tried to isolate the Cantonese (left speaker audio) from the Mandarin (right speaker audio). VLC registers the change, but does nothing; the speakers were still playing the two languages.
The type of movie you were playing: Infernal Affairs VCD copy And whether or not the issue is present on other types of movies: yes, movies on other formats like RMVB also suffer the same problem.
Thank you.
