VLC crashes when there is a corrupted (or incomplete) .mkv file in the same directory as a real .mkv file
- Let "movie.mkv" be a working mkv file
- Create a dummy "foo.mkv" file (with your favourite text editor, for example) in the same directory as movie.mkv, with random data in it
- Try to open "movie.mkv", VLC crashed with the following error :
Thread 6 Crashed: 0 libmkv_plugin.dylib 0x0264caff libebml::EbmlMaster::FindFirstElt(libebml::EbmlCallbacks const&, bool) + 51
Notes :
- This was only tested on Mac OS X
- This was tested with 0.8.6a and the nightlies
- The bug also happens when "foo.mkv" is a real but incomplete mkv file (an unfinished download, for example)
Thanks ! Martin.
