Audio fading in and out.
When playing ALL types (MP3, Flac, WMA etc) of audio the music fades in and out with a frequence of a few seconds. If I use the WMP this nuisance does not occur. I could simply start using WMP but that's not what I want. I'm using Win8.1 and build myself a new desktop some eight months ago. My old system had the same problems. I discovered a probable cause: I'm using the Graphic Equalizer to suppress the often prominent bass, adjusting Full Treble to enhance the midrange, writing the changes to .cfg. Is this a known problem or is it just me wanting more than intended? As I'm the first to notice this (searched without hits) I'm wandering if there may be something else going on? I mainly use this setting to make movies sound better or rather make speach understandable through the often prominent 'wall' of music/noise. In consequence, why does speach often fade to the background and is hardly intelligible? I'm wrestling with this deficit for over 10 years now. It must be the crippled way the source is ripped or the sources are often recorded unbalanced, I don't know. It's time for seperate speach and music channels instead of the overrated 7.1 audio configurations.
