Useful ordering in playlist

Hi, when I use VLC e.g. to open an audio CD from Gnome Nautilus autostart. Then the tracks are mapped as .WAV files and added to the VLC playlist. Unfortunatly there is a bad order:

• Track 11.wav
• Track 12.wav
• Track 1.wav
• Track 2.wav

So maybe you can add an improved sorting algorithm that detects if all filenames have a following number and the right order can be added.

Well maybe but this is non trivial without breaking lexical sorting for non-numbers. It would be smarter for Nautilus to prepend a zero (01, 02...09) if there are ten or more tracks.

I agree that usually it would be the task of Nautilus, but on the other hand VLC supports any kind of CLI/... playlist inputs, so IMHO it's also a good idea to add a check at VLC.

I'm not sure but I guess there is a way to do correct alphanumerical sorting that detects numeric fields and gives you the right order in any case. Usually nautilus and the most filemanagers have this functionality.

Sorting is done by the directory input anyway. It works for me when using the version sort option.
