Video getting stuck while using subtitle delay option

    When ever I use a subtitle delay in the positive side i.e (using h key for positive ms), the subtitle is synced and the video is seeking smoothly (when used shift+Right(or left) key). But the main problem is with the negative subtitle delays. When I set the vlc to the -ve subtitle delay (say -10,000 ms) the subtitle is set and the video seeks smooth again but when I go to positive side i.e press the 'h' key from this stage (-10,000 ms stage), the video is getting stuck while seeking (shift+right(or left) key). It is really irritating while the video doesn't seek smoothly while shifting from the -ve subtitle delay to the +ve delay. I had to stop the video or close the vlc and start all over again, It is really frustrating

                I request you guys to fix this bug. I am a big fan of vlc and don't want to shift to some other player whenever I play videos with external subtitles where delay correction might be essential.     Another favor you guys can do is, don't lock the subtitle file that is currently playing in the vlc. I might want to edit the delay's from an external subtitle editor and while I try to save the edited srt file, I couldn't as vlc has locked the file. If what I said doesn't make sense, just see how Sumatra PDF reader works. It will not lock the pdf, and any external editing of the file (say in word) can be saved instantly and Sumatra will show the changes once the loaded pdf is refreshed.
