OSD hints for more actions

when toggling "random: on/off" or "loop" button, I see only a change in the control bar. But when I am on fullscreen, I do not have a control bar. So I'd like to see a quick OSD text "random: off", similar as to when I cycle through subtitles or audio tracks.

This behaves correctly on OSX.

I found this from the Mini Projects Wiki Page, and I have added this feature. I do not know where to go from here with regards to submitting a patch, though. If someone could instruct me that would be appreciated.

This issue actually does sort of exist on OS X as well. Messages are displayed if you use the OS X GUI (clicking the buttons), but not if you use hotkeys. What I did was add messages that display when these are changed using hotkeys. I have submitted a patch. I should also say this is the first time I have contributed to a project like VLC, so I am not entirely sure I am doing things right. Should I change anything on this ticket?
