VLC main window larger than screen
VLC Player does not automatically resize to fit the screen size of the available display – and there is no possibility to change this. Or, in other words, VLC can be larger than the size of the screen, which make no sense.
I use VLC 2.0.3 on OS X 10.7.4. Usually a 24" Dell is connected to my MacBook (1920x1680). If I shut down the Macbook and start it again, without the Dell connected, VLCs main window is way too large on the 13" MacBook screen. (See screenshot http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3986/foto20120804um234522.png).
And there is actually no way to resize the VLC window to make it fit the smaller MacBook screen.
Steps to reproduce the bug:
- start VLC
- Resize the main window to a certain size
- shut down the computer
- connect a smaller screen to the mac/use laptop screen
- start VLC again
Result: VLC's main window will be much to large
solution: none, there a no controls left on the screen or menu to resize VLCs window. VLC is actually unuseable.
Workaround: connect bigger screen and resize the window
I don't know if any other plattforms are affected by this bug.
