I can currently stop VLC from the menus, but I can not start it again from the menus. That will break accessibility for all those people that found it hard to use a mouse.
Please add relevant menu entries for all operations.
Kind regards,

What is the reason to change bug about a very important feature for many people to low? And what is the reason for changing this that really is a bug for many people from bug to enhancement?
On top of that it is a change that will only take a few minutes to do if you know the code.
I am afraid this kind of handling of bugs just blocks progress. A lot of skilled people will not take part in the development if it is not done in a user friendly way.
jb: I am sorry but if you think that accessibility is not important than I really disagree with you. What can I do about that? And if more people in the project believes so then I think it would be could to fork it. (Something I really dislike otherwise.)
space key: Does not work after computer startup after inhibition. And not very userfriendly if you do not know about it.
pause media key: Similar.
enter key on the playlist item: Not applicable here.
The rest are mouse dependent. Exactly what I said should be avoided here.
Sorry, this issue is an issue (ticket is not closed) but is not breaking any playback functionality, so is of low priority. Especially when there are other ways.
Moreover, if you really think this is really important, this is a 10minute patch. I'll apply it with joy. Else, please fork it...
It is good you wanted to do it. I do not feel I am involved more than in sending the bug report and giving the reasons for why I did it.
However now I am curious. What was it that gave you that feeling I am jumping on your throat? Was it the last part of my first comment? I agree it was a bit harsh. (But I have seen this kind of obstacle so many times that I am really tired of it. I would like to see progress for free software in term of user base. Of course VLC is used by a lot of people already but it has the capability to attract more.)
