VLC Stream from capture to file (h264 codec) results in corrupt file
Using vlc 1.1.4 on Ubuntu Maverick and Windows. When capturing from a webcam (v4l2) or capture from desktop, I can play the output within VLC with no problems. However, If I try to stream it to a local file, using a the H264+AAC codecs (MP4) the resulting file doesn't contain any stream, and it's not playable.
To reproduce:
- Make sure a capture device is connected, or use capture Desktop
- Select open capture device.
- Select stream and in destination select file (make sure you push add to select the filename).
- Select the Video: H264+AAC (MP4 or TS).
- Start the stream.
Expected: the stream is saved into a MP4 file, which is playable
Actual: The stream is saved into a corrupt file with no stream.
