MPEG-PS output doesn't handle large files correctly
As reported in: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=67122
When MPEG-PS output is used in sout, the files won't work correctly if file size goes above 4 gigabytes. At some point audio vanishes with following error
main warning: clock gap, unexpected stream discontinuity
main warning: feeding synchro with a new reference point trying to recover from clock gap
main warning: early picture skipped
main warning: decoder synchro warning: pts != current_date (-505696111)
main warning: early picture skipped
main warning: dts != current_pts (4553618333)
main debug: decoded 89/104 pictures
also timecodes are wrong, VLC shows file is 1:19:23 long while AVIdemux indexes it correctly 2:26:51.
Sample file can be created with
vlc dvdsimple://E:\@1 :sout=#std{access=file,mux=ps,dst=myfile.mpg} :audio-track=0
from any DVD that produces over 4 gigabyte file.
Tested with VLC 1.0.2 under Win32.
