DVD Subtitles&Menu vanished/broken with de-interlace

When enabling de-interlace, subtitles stop being printed. It seems like the only way to bring them back is to disable them and re-enable them... and then they look horrible.

They are rendered at the wring size and position with deinterlacing modes that reduce the video height (like discard/mean). They have the wrong colors with all deinterlacing modes and I suspect with all vout-filters (vout-filter != video-filter).
